- The Organization is purely non-governmental, non-profiting and non-political Organization working for the vast welfare of the persons with disability in general and visually impaired in particular without any discrimination of caste, color, creed, culture, sect and religion or community discrimination as per provisions of VSWA (R&C) Ordinance 1961.
- Resource Centre is working to provide the following services to visually impaired persons/students of the province.
- To provide library Services to Visually Impaired of the district Abbottabad.
- To organize Teachers Training courses on the use of computer for various institutions for the blind and visually impaired in the province
- To be transcribing print syllabus of various levels into computer readable formats for accessibility for the blind
- To organize trainings on mobility and orientation and conduct computer courses for visually impaired
- To provide white canes and other assistive devices to the visually impaired
- To promote and continue these services, the organization will be highly grateful to our community members and philanthropists by contributing the following items of use for visually impaired individuals.
- One Braille embosser even in 2nd hand good working condition.
- Seven Perkins Braillers for college students’ braille writing.
- One 40 Cells refreshable braille display for electronic braille books editing before embossing hard copy.
- Ten latest desktop computers to upgrade our computer lab for the training of blind students.
- 100 27 liner Braille writing frames for junior class blind students.
- Twenty MP3 players along with USBs or memory cards for audio syllabus users.
- 500 good quality white canes for any blind cane user for smooth mobility.
- Ten thousand braille paper sheet of 150 grams for the provision of latest textbooks in braille format.
